Eh I always dislike the changes Mayer makes when he does an acoustic version off the new album. The notes he hits on the studio album make each song so melodically beautiful and are full of feeling.
It sounds like a completely different song acoustically and it’s almost monotone. He’s capable of singing so beautifully… why John whyyyyyyy.

Possibly because the album was done much earlier in his vocal problems. Some of these live videos are probably more recent…maybe he physically CANT hit those notes now without causing pain
