The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice-versa, the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

I’ve recently realized that it’s almost disgusting how loving and compassionate I am.

And I’m coming to learn that no matter how much I’m hurt, that’s something that’s never going to change; it’s me. The more I read what I’m reading and do the things I do every day, the more I discover about myself and who I was, who I am, who I want to be. I’m more altruistic than I thought, I’m almost too good of a person.

People always say they try to be good, that they are good… but are you really? Those are just words. I’m not saying you have to be perfect, everyone makes mistakes and does things they regret, that’s life. Let your past make you better, not bitter. Your actions carry the truth as to whether you are truly a good person or not… and you have to feel it in your heart- in your entire being. If we all truly strive to be better instead of just saying it, things could actually be a lot different, things could be better. You have to be the change you want to see.
